Three Guys Play LOTR War in the North Part 20 - Epic Finale!
The epic finale and the connection to the Ring Quest revealed at the end...thanks to Shyhalu and Konoa for a fun time with this flawed but in my view largely under-rated game.

Shyhalu, k0noa and OldFartKeyWester attempt to beat a LOTR Game which got in my opinion some unfair reviews. Was it the Second Coming of Baldur's Gate? No. Was it better than the Battle For Middle Earth series? Irrelevant, they are apples and oranges. Was it a decent hackn'slash with some familiar LOTR characters and story? Yes, and speaking purely for myself I am having a hoot playing as the L...

I find the scene with Buford and Devin somewhat confusing. At first Buford refers to the Rebs coming down the road in the morning as if the conversation is occurring on June 30 th. And then asks about the artillery coming up and Reynolds being 10 miles away clearly indicating that this conversation is happening on July 1.

I am British and even though I am interested in our own military history also British military history is my interest as I had family who served in the RAF and the British Army, the only thing that outside my interest is the American Civil War as it is the only thing about the United States that I am seriously interested in plus whilst looking up my family history from both sides of the family, Northern Irish and Irish I found out that I have American Ancestory as my great grandparents were American and are buried in Northern Ireland, I have visited their graves, I also found out that I have a female American Ancestor who is the mother of one Lieutenant General George Armstrong Custer of the 7th. As a child here in England I was bought up on Western's either Audie Murphy, Randolph Scott, Clint Eastwood and other famous Western actors but my favourite was John Wayne with The Searchers being my favourite. But I digress I love American Civil War films but my all time favourite is Gettysburg which is a masterpiece and a Legend. I have always wanted to go to Gettysburg even as a child when I saw American civil war films, it's a weird feeling like it's calling to me, I will go there one day. The cast in the film are just the top of the top and the Battle scenes are incredible, the location of the actual sites of the Battle are breathtaking. But what makes it such an incredible film is you see both sides of the divide and the such emotional humanity scenes from both Union and Confederate where they open up there feelings like Longstreet and the others, with friends and family on both sides yearning to see each other and speak to each other as friends and comrades. Gettysburg has everything that makes an incredible and unforgettable film. Gettysburg is my favourite film of all time and the film I love the most. 💂‍♂️💂‍♂️🇬🇧🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇮🇪🇮🇪🤝🤝🇺🇸🇺🇸💙💛🇺🇦🇺🇦

Another defeat for the Reformation. As per the first civil war in 1776. The evil union under Lucifer comes on. Very clearly now today.

The stones on the real Buford were MASSIVE! To singlehanded choose where the major battle would take place and hold the ground on his own initiative. Legend.

11:27 I feel Elliot overacts his role. Now Buck Taylor here, he stays right in the sweet spot, not too much, not too little. Just like he did in Tombstone.

The most accurate thing in this portrayal is the sound of the bugs in the background. I live on a civil war battlefield and hear those things every year.

In this battle especially ,some of the officers were good friends at West Point but chose to fight on opposing sides. Lee himself was approached to lead the Union army but instead was loyal to the South

Possibly the worst thing that could happen to a soldier on either side was to suffer a grievous wound. The chances you would die from infection were much greater than your chances of survival.

I don't mind watching scenes here and there of this movie. The attention to detail from the uniforms to the locations to the acting are all very solid. This movie had a chance to be truly great but the sequences drag on and the constant musical interludes make it sometimes feel like a Hallmark movie. It veers towards a syrupy sentimentality. It has an ensemble set of fine actors, but the direction and script are lacking. With that said the movie still has merit. It's more visually digestible in these shot form clips then watching the whole thing in one fell swoop, where one can be forgiven for losing interest despite the immediacy of historical events portrayed within.

This is one of my favorite films. The casting was spot on and the actors gave very moving performances. Sam Elliot, Martin Sheen, Tom Berenger and so many others gave such brilliant performances. I like to watch this on a cold winters day during a snow storm when there is nothing to do.
